Vans introduced with their new shoe line-up (Spring/Summer 12), Stage 4, a new “wafflecup” construction. The idea is to fuse the classic Vans waffle outsole with a modern cupsole. The result should be more grip and durability. The whole development and design process was inspired by their team riders Chima Ferguson, Chris Pfanner, Andrew Allen and Gilbert Crockett. Nice.

Mit dem helfen, was wir selbst am liebsten tun.
Mit diesem Slogan startete der gemeinnützige Verein HIGH FIVE seine Skateboard-, Snowboard- und BMX-Programme. Kinder und Jugendliche zwischen 8 und 16 Jahren werden dabei von bekannten Profis aus den jeweiligen Bereichen gecoacht und bekommen Material gestellt. Kostenlos. Denn die Programme richten sich hauptsächlich an sozial benachteiligte Menschen. Finanziert wird das Ganze durch öffentliche Gelder, Sponsoren, Spenden und einer von den Profis entworfenen T-Shirt-Kollektion.
